Jelle is a geopolitical analyst of Latin America. After studying Latin America, he began working as a lecturer in Public Administration at Leiden University. He is also pursuing a PhD in International Relations, Political Science, and Public Policy at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His research focuses on migration in Latin America.
He combines his knowledge of public administration with a deep passion for Latin America, and Brazil in particular, a somewhat “forgotten continent.” With his academic background, research, and proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish, Jelle is uniquely qualified to analyze and explain developments in Brazil and Latin America. He hopes that knowledge about this “forgotten region” will become stronger and more concrete, so that people can better prepare for a changing world order in which Brazil can play a significant role.
