He has previously written about geoeconomic issues during an internship at De Volkskrant newspaper and has interviewed renowned academics in the field of international political economy.
His academic work focuses on the evolution of dollar hegemony since 1945, with particular attention to American crypto policy as a recent development within the global monetary system. He also has expertise in the political economy of the United States, China and the European Union.
With a philosophical bent, he attaches great importance to the influence of ideas on global power relations. At the Hague Institute for Geopolitics, he aims to contribute to an in-depth debate on geopolitics by linking economic structures, monetary policy and ideological frameworks.
